Senior Software Engineer - Data Solutions - Privacy Team

About the role

Teads is an omnichannel advertising platform that processes 18 billion ad opportunities daily and connects brands with over 2.2 billion unique users each month. As a Privacy Software Engineer, you will act as a key cross-functional contributor outside a single dedicated pod, working closely with the Identity team and a dedicated Product Manager to embed privacy deeply into the engineering DNA. The role involves navigating a wide and complex codebase to develop and enhance privacy capabilities while balancing urgent legal and compliance priorities with a long-term, resilient privacy architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate for and implement "Privacy by Design" across engineering units, especially feature teams, so privacy protocols integrate seamlessly across the stack.
• Navigate a broad, diverse codebase to develop new privacy capabilities, audit existing systems and build efficient, scalable data-handling solutions.
• Balance urgent compliance and regulatory priorities with a long-term, resilient privacy vision.
• Assess the production impact of technical privacy choices and design, build and maintain data pipelines and analytics to monitor them in real time.
• Partner with a dedicated Privacy Product Manager to turn complex legal issues and regional laws into scalable, actionable technical requirements.

Required profile

• Multiple shipped projects in software engineering.
• Production knowledge and practices (release, observability, troubleshooting).
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical, experimental mindset.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a diverse global team.

Required skills

• Good programming abilities; testing code is second nature.
• Familiarity with large, high-throughput, distributed systems and processing large amounts of data.
• Understanding of application architecture, performance, maintainability and quality.
