Senior Software Engineer – Data Analytics Platform

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Sportradar you will develop and maintain the company’s data analytics platform and pipelines, enabling large‑scale sports data collection, transformation, warehousing and analysis for AI/ML and reporting use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate scalable, reliable and secure data warehousing architectures and integration pipelines.
• Model and integrate data for machine‑learning, analytics and reporting.
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses and support data scientists and analysts with data requirements.
• Deploy, monitor and maintain infrastructure for batch and real‑time streaming analytics jobs.
• Contribute to state‑of‑the‑art machine‑learning and reporting solutions and present technical designs to peers.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in databases, data modeling and ETL processes.
• Experience with data‑warehousing or big‑data query engines (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Amazon Athena, Presto).
• Advanced SQL skills and production database administration experience.
• Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English communication.
