Senior Data Platform Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Ready to build the backbone of a modern cloud data platform that powers analytics, BI, and AI use cases? We’re looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, scale, and operate a cloud‑based data platform across Croatia, Slovenia, and Bulgaria.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise cloud data warehouse and lake architecture.
• Improve performance, scalability and cost efficiency of BigQuery workloads.
• Build and maintain platform services for batch and real‑time data use cases.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD pipelines for data platform delivery.
• Strengthen platform security, including IAM, encryption and access control.
• Develop observability, monitoring and operational reliability frameworks.
• Enable self‑service analytics through stable platform foundations.

Required profile

• Strong experience with BigQuery or a similar cloud data warehouse.
• Solid background in GCP or other cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for automation and platform operations.
• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Knowledge of IAM, security, encryption and access‑control models.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring and production reliability practices.
