Security Technician (On-site)

About the role

The Security Technician works full‑time on‑site in Slovenia, installing, configuring and maintaining physical security systems for HSI’s customers. The role combines technical field work with client interaction, ensuring that alarms, access control and surveillance solutions operate reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and service alarms, CCTV and access‑control hardware.
• Perform regular system inspections and troubleshoot technical issues on‑site.
• Provide user training and create documentation of interventions and system configurations.
• Collaborate with clients to understand security requirements and report feedback to internal product teams.
• Travel to customer locations within Slovenia as needed while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Vocational or technical education in electronics, IT or a related field.
• Previous experience with security systems or technical field work is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence and readiness for on‑site work.
• Proficiency in Slovenian; basic English skills are beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and a service‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of physical security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control).
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, cabling, hardware setup).
• Ability to use configuration software and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency with standard office applications for reporting and documentation.
