Payroll Services Expert / Specialist (d/f/m)

About the role

Sandoz is looking for a Payroll Services Expert or Specialist to join its payroll team in Ljubljana. The role involves independently managing payroll tasks with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and compliance with legal and internal standards. The contract is fixed-term until 31 December 2027, with an expected 40-hour week.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and validate payroll data for salary and employment-related income calculations in line with legal and internal standards.
• Independently compile payroll sheets and process employee data, ensuring compliance with taxation, pension and healthcare legislation.
• Monitor and process absences, overtime, garnishments, benefits, severance pay and net-to-gross calculations.
• Generate and deliver payroll reports, including monthly statements and audit documentation.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and complete all payroll documentation on time.
• Collaborate with Finance and auditors on data integrity and internal controls, and track and implement changes in local payroll legislation.
• Submit and monitor reimbursement claims.

Required profile

• University degree in economics or an equivalent field.
• At least 3 years of experience in payroll or finance.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and HR service delivery.
• Excellent spoken and written Slovenian and English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
• Experience with SAP modules or Workday is an advantage.

What we offer

• Salary range of EUR 30,080 to 45,120 gross per year (Expert) or EUR 22,400 to 33,600 gross per year (Specialist).
• Annual bonus (STI) as a percentage of salary, vacation allowance and Christmas bonus.
