Junior/Middle Legal Counsel

About the role

AgileEngine, an Inc. 5000 software company serving Fortune 500 brands and startups, is looking for a Legal Counsel to review and negotiate commercial agreements, support compliance work and advise internal teams on legal questions. The role suits someone with 1-4 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Support colleagues with day-to-day legal issues.
• Review and negotiate Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs, DPAs and other vendor agreements.
• Draft and maintain contract templates.
• Support compliance work across the jurisdictions where the company operates.
• Advise sales, HR, finance and delivery teams on legal questions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memos on EU and international law matters.

Required profile

• Master's degree in law.
• 1-4 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements in English.
• Understanding of compliance matters such as contractor engagement and regulatory requirements.
• Organized, proactive and able to work independently.

• Ukrainian language skills.
• Experience working with IT companies.
• Experience with international or cross-border legal matters.
