Junior FPGA Developer

About the role

As a Junior FPGA Developer you will join cutting‑edge projects where timing down to picoseconds matters, including collaborations with the FAIR institute and work on quantum sensing, timing synchronization and quantum computers. The role offers mentorship to help you acquire the specialised knowledge needed for success in this high‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop FPGA systems based on customer requirements.
• Test and verify FPGA designs to ensure functional correctness.
• Produce clear technical documentation for designs and verification results.
• Analyse requirements and define technical specifications together with customers.
• Maintain regular communication with internal teams and external customers.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of VHDL programming.
• Interest in electronics and circuit design.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Strong communication skills and openness to team collaboration.

Required skills

• VHDL.
• Experience with AMD Vivado and Intel Quartus FPGA development environments (bonus).
• Understanding of basic measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of digital signal processing concepts.
• Familiarity with standard communication protocols.
