Head of Manufacturing Science & Technology (Site)

About the role

Sandoz is building a new biosimilars manufacturing site in Brnik, Slovenia. The Head of Manufacturing Science & Technology will lead the MS&T function, driving scientific and technical introduction of processes, technology transfers, and validations to ensure high‑quality production of advanced therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the MS&T team, set goals, and define the vision for the department.
• Establish and maintain technical and scientific standards, ensuring readiness for regulatory inspections.
• Provide product and process stewardship throughout the lifecycle, solving technical challenges with local and global partners.
• Oversee change control processes, prepare scientific documentation, and liaise with health authorities.
• Maintain the site’s validation master plan and ensure continuous validation status of all processes.
• Lead technology transfers and support new product launches, guaranteeing technical capability for successful introductions.
• Develop technical standards, optimise processes, integrate new technologies, and support equipment start‑up.
• Ensure high‑quality technical training, update curricula, and promote knowledge sharing across the site.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a scientific or pharmaceutical discipline.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing science and technology within the biopharma sector.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
