Dispatch Agent

About the role

As a Dispatch Agent at FedEx you will be responsible for planning and coordinating courier activities to ensure efficient daily operations. You will work closely with couriers, customers and management to keep the delivery cycle running smoothly and meet performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare courier schedules and routes.
• Coordinate distribution of work amongst couriers to achieve the station’s operational goals efficiently.
• Monitor the daily delivery cycle and update systems with accurate information for pick‑up and delivery assignments.
• Provide support to couriers and assist them with issue resolution.
• Contact customers when needed to obtain additional information or advise on service‑related issues.
• Proactively report any issues during the daily delivery cycle to management and compile reports on station productivity, volumes and performance.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating a team in a busy transport or dispatch environment (advantage).
• Good Microsoft Office and PC skills.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Focused on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Driven to solve problems using planning and organizing skills.
• Able to communicate and align with different stakeholders.
• Ability to manage own and team’s time effectively in a pressured environment.
