Director of Corporate Development

About the role

The Director of Corporate Development will own the organisation’s inorganic growth strategy and shape its long‑term expansion. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the full acquisition lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities to post‑close integration, while also evaluating strategic alliances, joint ventures and major commercial partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of acquisition opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
• Apply a consistent screening and scoring methodology covering strategic fit, financial returns, technology, integration complexity and counterparty risk.
• Prepare concise opportunity assessments, valuation, transaction and sensitivity models, including synergy and financing analyses.
• Coordinate cross‑functional due diligence (financial, legal, technology, operational).
• Lead diligence on target leadership, background and reputation, translating findings into deal‑structure recommendations.
• Support transaction structuring, negotiations and preparation of board‑level investment materials.
• Track completed transactions against the original investment thesis and report integration costs, realized synergies and performance variances.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate development, M&A or related finance functions.
• Strong analytical discipline combined with commercial judgment.
• Low‑ego, execution‑oriented mindset with ability to work autonomously.
• Proven track record of managing full acquisition cycles and strategic partnerships.
