Lead Product Engineer – Developer Platform

About the role

As a Lead Product Engineer you will own the Developer Platform at bunny.net, shaping how developers ship workloads to the edge. You will guide a small engineering team, define product direction, and ship code that turns a blank page into a production‑ready deployment experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design core primitives such as projects, environments, secrets, and logs that work across Magic Containers, Edge Scripting, and Database.
• Shape product direction from discovery through delivery, turning developer insights into clear priorities.
• Lead a small engineering team: set direction, develop people, give feedback, and maintain high quality standards.
• Build prototypes, APIs, dashboards, instrumentation, documentation, and production code alongside engineers.
• Define and measure success metrics from first deploy to adoption, using data to decide next steps.
• Collaborate with Compute, Frontend, Design, and Product Marketing to create a cohesive experience across dashboard, API, CLI, and docs.

Required profile

• Experience owning the full discovery → delivery → iteration loop at meaningful scale.
• Strong product judgment and ability to turn ambiguous problems into outcomes.
• Comfort with data analysis, funnel and retention metrics, and running experiments.
• Business literacy: understanding ICP, pricing, competition, and revenue drivers.
• Technical depth to challenge solutions, make trade‑offs, and ship production changes.
• Track record of helping others make better decisions and take ownership.
• Clear communication, high ownership, low ego, and AI fluency.

Required skills

• AI fluency (using AI for research, analysis, prototyping, coding, testing, and communication).
