Infrastructure Engineer – Vulnerability, DevOps & Automation

About the role

This remote contract position focuses on strengthening security, reliability, and automation of large‑scale enterprise infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. You will own vulnerability remediation and automated OS patching for both production and non‑production systems, working closely with application teams, risk management, and IT stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability remediation initiatives on Windows and Linux servers, aligning with enterprise security standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and support automated OS patching while minimizing downtime.
• Collaborate with application, risk, and IT teams to validate systems before and after patching.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Support change management via ServiceNow, securing approvals and documenting changes.
• Troubleshoot patching and remediation issues affecting stability, performance, or compliance.
• Develop and improve automation scripts to make remediation and patching more efficient and repeatable.
• Share knowledge within DevOps and infrastructure communities and mentor peers.

Required profile

• Experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management and OS patching processes.
• Familiarity with Agile and change‑management practices.
• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
