FPGA Developer for Signal Generator Project (Slovenia)

About the role

We are seeking an advanced electronics engineer or MSc/PhD student to design a compact, multichannel programmable signal generator for a university project. The work will involve FPGA‑based waveform generation and will require both remote development and on‑site testing at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a multi‑channel signal generator on an FPGA platform.
• Develop digital waveform generation techniques such as DDS/NCO.
• Integrate DAC/ADC interfaces and ensure high‑speed digital communication.
• Create PC‑FPGA communication links via USB, Ethernet, or similar.
• Validate performance through on‑site testing and regular meetings.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of digital electronics.
• Experience with VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Familiarity with FPGA development tools and hardware debugging.
• Background in DDS/NCO‑based signal generation and high‑speed interfaces.
• Ability to work both remotely and on‑site as needed.
