Financial Planning and Reporting Lead

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Financial Planning & Reporting Lead to support its Balkans Cluster. Reporting to the CFO, the role combines strategic finance business partnering, financial planning, performance management and people leadership across Zagreb, Ljubljana or Belgrade.

Key responsibilities

• Partner proactively with business leaders to provide financial decision support and develop business cases, KPIs, forecasts and models.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, long‑range planning and monthly reporting processes, ensuring forecast accuracy with stakeholders.
• Deliver performance reports that highlight risks, opportunities and key drivers, and prepare executive presentations for finance and business review meetings.
• Drive improvements in financial processes, systems and compliance with AstraZeneca policies and statutory regulations.
• Support post‑deal financial management, commercial analysis of agreements and partnerships.
• Lead and develop a team of Finance Assistants across the cluster.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic finance business partnering and financial planning.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Leadership experience managing a finance team.
• Commercial orientation and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
