Database Administrator

About the role

As a Database Administrator you will own, optimize, and scale our high‑throughput PostgreSQL infrastructure that powers millions of global player experiences daily. You will ensure reliability, peak performance, and robust disaster recovery across production and testing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, configure, patch, upgrade, and plan capacity for large‑scale PostgreSQL databases.
• Design and maintain high‑availability and replication solutions (Patroni, repmgr, pgbouncer).
• Architect backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies using pgBackRest.
• Monitor system health, tune performance, and optimise complex SQL queries.
• Automate administrative workflows and maintenance using Bash and Python.
• Collaborate with development teams on database architecture and query design.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience administering large‑scale, high‑load PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills (Bash/Python).
• Hands‑on experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Zabbix.
• Ability to integrate AI tools to improve debugging and automation.
