Senior Frontend Engineer – Consumer

About the role

We are seeking a world‑class Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Consumer team at Kraken, part of Payward. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery of consumer‑facing features on both web (React) and mobile (React Native), shaping the experience for millions of crypto traders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality consumer‑facing features across web and mobile platforms.
• Own the full product lifecycle from discovery, technical design, release, monitoring, experimentation, and iteration.
• Drive A/B testing and experimentation strategies, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, analyse results and iterate based on data.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Mobile engineering teams to create coherent cross‑platform experiences.
• Make opinionated technical decisions on routing frameworks (e.g., TanStack Router vs. Next.js App Router) and architecture.
• Set and uphold standards for functional correctness, accessibility, performance, and testability.
• Mentor engineers of varying seniority and foster a culture of craftsmanship.
• Lead complex cross‑platform initiatives and stay ahead of emerging React ecosystem tooling.
