Senior Backend Developer

About the role

As a Senior Backend Developer at Prime Insights you will design, develop and maintain high‑scale backend systems that power our market‑research platform. You will ensure applications are efficient, scalable and reliable while working with millions of daily API requests.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise RESTful APIs using PHP/Laravel.
• Handle large‑scale databases and write performant SQL queries.
• Build custom Composer packages and integrate them across projects.
• Architect solutions that serve millions of users and integrate external services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver stable, high‑performance features.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on experience with PHP/Laravel and RESTful API development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git and modern development workflows.
• Deep understanding of data structures and performance optimisation.
• Ability to analyse existing systems, identify improvements and implement solutions independently.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
