Lead Product Designer, Marketplace

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to own the end‑to‑end design direction of a high‑impact discovery marketplace that connects creators with audiences seeking meaningful experiences. The role sits at the intersection of AI‑driven personalization and two‑sided platform dynamics, offering you the autonomy to shape product strategy and ship polished experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own marketplace discovery from opportunity identification, problem framing, design direction, rapid prototyping to shipping high‑quality experiences.
• Shape design strategy for a two‑sided marketplace, balancing creator visibility and growth with consumer relevance and trust.
• Design AI‑driven discovery experiences, including conversational interfaces, curation journeys, personalization, recommendation flows, and trust signals.
• Connect product systems and experiences, understanding community, creator, content, engagement, and marketplace dynamics.
• Prototype rapidly using AI‑assisted development and prototyping tools, validating concepts and bridging design to production.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering, influencing product direction, making trade‑offs, and ensuring feasibility and scalability.
• Drive design quality and consistency across interaction, visual, and systems thinking.
• Mentor and support other designers, raising overall design thinking without formal people‑management responsibilities.
• Operate effectively in ambiguity, building conviction through experimentation, iteration, and evidence.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped products and complex multi‑user experiences.
• Demonstrated impact on product direction and experience in marketplace or two‑sided platform environments.
• Ability to work autonomously, thrive in ambiguity, and communicate design decisions clearly to distributed teams.

Required skills

• Experience with AI‑driven design tools.
• Proficiency in rapid prototyping tools.
