Derivatives Risk Oversight Lead

About the role

As the Derivatives Risk Oversight Lead, you will act as a key representative of the Second Line of Defense for our derivatives trading platform. You will help safeguard the financial stability of trading operations by independently challenging strategies and validating complex margin models.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director of Risk in implementing and managing risk programs across market, product, counterparty, margin, collateral and liquidity domains.
• Provide independent monitoring of financial and operational risk exposures, escalating breaches of approved limits.
• Review, validate and challenge risk models, valuation logic, exposure metrics and model assumptions for derivatives products.
• Define, maintain and periodically review margin methodologies and assess the adequacy of margin and collateral practices.
• Establish counterparty risk frameworks, set limits, monitor exposures and challenge limit utilization and concentration risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial risk oversight, preferably within derivatives trading.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to challenge complex models and assumptions.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to safeguarding the firm’s financial stability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, high‑performing environment and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
